KCRW will be featured on Last Call w/Carson Daly tonight. The crew came down to film a segment on KCRW/Morning Becomes Eclectic during Miike Snow’s radio debut. The show airs tonight, Tuesday, June 23. (the 24th for Tivo purposes since it airs at 1:35am).

I know, I know. A lot of you are wondering what the former host of MTV’s TRL is doing on KCRW. I’ll just say this – give the guy a chance! He is a real music lover and if you set aside your pre-conceived notions, I think you’ll really enjoy it. Carson was raised in LA and is a longtime KCRW listener. He got his start in radio (at KROQ here in LA) but moved to NY when MTV came calling. His Guest DJ set takes us through his high school years in Santa Monica, to his early radio days in San Francisco, his time at MTV (he does not hold back when reflecting on that career choice!) and then a recent discovery at SXSW. He hosts some fantastic bands on his late night show “Last Call” and is clearly passionate about music both on and off the air. Check it out here
