My first introduction to comic book artist Tim Sale was through the Pop Candy blog on USA Today. He is best known these days for his work on the TV series “Heroes” and was just on a Comic-Con panel about the show. He has also worked on some of the most iconic comic characters of all time, including Batman, Superman, Spider-Man and the Hulk. His set includes one of the greatest guitarists of all time, his code song for finishing a comic and a heart breaking song by the Boss. Check it out here
His new comic book series is called Captain America: White. It is the fourth in a series of Marvel retro books that him and partner Jeph Loeb began in 2000, the other three being Daredevil:Yellow, Spider-Man: Blue, and Hulk: Grey. The book debuts in earnest in the late fall/winter with issue one, but there is a zero (preview) edition available right now in comics stores nationwide.
p.s.: Eric J Lawrence is a big comic book fan and brought in a box of them. Tim kindly signed a few and Eric did his best to hide his excitement
