Pete Yorn on MBE
KCRW helped launch Pete Yorn to success with his debut album and his latest CD shows he hasn’t lost his touch for writing intensely personal songs. The LA-based artist left the sunshine for Omaha to record these new songs with producer Mike Mogis, famous for his work with Bright Eyes and other artists on the Saddle Creek label. Anne Litt was filling in today as host on Morning Becomes Eclectic. They talked about the making of the new album, his upcoming collaboration with Scarlett Johanssen and much more. He played one of Anne’s new favorites – “Paradise Cove” – as well as a great rendition of “For Nancy” from his debut “Music for the Morning After.”
