Ida Maria -- From the Arctic Circle to MBE

Norwegian artist Ida Maria rocked Morning Becomes Eclectic with a set that includes a song that made her an internet sensation (“ I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked’) and the track that is likely to launch her career in the U.S., “Oh My God.” The first thing I thought when I saw her was -- she looks so sweet, this can’t be the same girl that is known for her wild stage shows which often involve smashing instruments.  But then I heard her growl. She truly uses her voice more than just a channel for her confessional lyrics– it’s as expressive as any other instrument and her fierce energy propels it in a way that makes it difficult to take your eyes off her.
